Frequently asked questions

How long is a Session?

An average Family Session takes about 60-90 minutes. Mini-Sessions are 30 minutes.

Where are the sessions taken?

Sessions can be taken at any location of your choosing or I can offer ideas. Springfield-Greene County Park Board requires a $25.00 a day fee if using areas such as The Springfield Botanical Gardens. In studio sessions are also available for an additional fee of $25.00 per hour.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, a deposit of 50% is due at the time of booking to hold your spot. If the need arises where you need to cancel or reschedule, a 24 hour notice is required. Since Mini Sessions are available on a limited basis, all Mini Session bookings are final and non-refundable. If you are unable to attend your Mini Session, you are able to Gift or Re-sell to a friend or family member.

How do I recieve my photos?

Low resolution edited images with a watermark will be provided on a CD or flash drive. These are suitable for sharing on social media. I would not recommend having these printed at a local low cost outlet such as Wal-Mart as the image quality will not be that good. High resolution images without a watermark suitable for print are available for an additional charge either in the form of print packages, CD or fash drive.

How much is my Investment?

Prices vary depending on the session. $55.00 for a 30 minute Mini session. Includes 15 edited images. $125.00 for a 1 Hour Family Session with 2-3 Children. Includes 30 edited images. $175.00 for a Large Family or Group up to 7 People. ( Add $25 for each additional Family member) Includes 30-40 edited images. $225.00 Senior Portraits: Includes 1-2 hours with photographer and up to 3 locations and outfit changes. Includes 25 edited images.

Why should I hire a Professional Photographer?

A professional photographer is working for you, and is invested in your satisfaction. You are their client, not their relative or friend, and will retain a level of professionalism your aunt or brother-in-law may not. There are lots of ways to save money in life, but skimping on a professional photography for your most prescious moments should not be one of them.

Why should should I order prints vs just getting a CD and printing my own ?

Where will your computer be in 5-10 years? Will technology do away with CD and flash drives? What happens if or when your hard drive crashes? What if my CD becomes scratched or broken? What becomes of my photos? These are all question that have to be answered if you have your photos put on a CD. Why order prints? High Quality. Professional prints are made using heirloom quality papers, meaning they are built to last for over a hundred years without fading or discoloration. If you hold a professional print from a lab and hold a print from a local drugstore in your hand, you can feel the difference. If you take a photo to a local drugstore to print, you may not have control over cropping. Their computer may do it automatically thus cutting off limbs and who knows what else in your photos. Having them printed using mediocre paper and ink, you run the risk of the colors being off. Convenience. If you order prints, you don't have to worry about going online, ordering, or shipping your prints. Your photographer takes care of all that for you. Your only job is to decide what photos you love and what sizes you want and then the photographer does all the rest of the work.
